Nine different Redbirds scored goals Thursday night to easily defeat Illinois 11-2 and complete the MACHA Gold series for the season. Senior Anthony Carcerano put up a Hat Trick by firing a one-timer slap shot top shelf off of a sweet pass from his center Michael McEllin with 2:39 left in the third period.
Most of the game was spent in the Illini defensive zone and the Redbirds peppered Goalie Bill Crawford with fifty three shots on net compared to nineteen against ISU Goalie Pauli Lenci.
